How do these work?
Essential oils are made up of minute molecules that are very easily absorbed. Each oil has a unique chemical composition of terpenes2, esters, oxides, alcohols, phenols, ketones, and aldehydes. These components interact with bodily systems, and depending on the essential oil support various systems of the body. The skin is the largest organ, absorbing around 60% of whatever you put on it! Both essential oils and crystals also have a vibrational frequency. And so do we human beings. We can raise our own vibrational frequency by using oils and crystals. Can I use them on my children?
Yes! When purchasing my roller blends you will have the option to select “adult” or “child”. Adult blends have a 3% dilution and the children blend is further diluted (1%).
I use these oils in both my children who are under 6 but use your intuition and own discretion for your family. Seek professional advice if concerned.
Why do you recommend to use these products on my feet?
The skin on the soles of your feet is the toughest skin on your body. If you are unknowingly sensitive to an oil, a reaction is going to be least severe if applied on the feet. Additionally, the feet have many reflex points. Reflexologists believe that areas on the feet correspond to the body’s organs and systems . Using them in this way may increase the benefits of the oil applied. And it’s an opportunity to enjoy a mini foot massage!
Are these safe to use in pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
Some oils are not recommended to be used while pregnant, including but not limited to: basil, cedarwood, clary sage, fennel, hyssop, jasmine, myrrh, sweet marjoram, and thyme.
If you are breastfeeding there are some oils you may want to avoid such as peppermint as it may reduce your supply. If you are pregnant, breast feeding or concerned, I urge you to do your own research or consult a professional before using my roll on blends.
Why do you use Black Tourmaline crystals if they may contain aluminium?
Black Tourmaline is an incredibly grounding and protective stone. Certain crystals can be harmful, especially when making elixirs or massage oils. It’s not black and white though – for example Clear Quartz is safe to use as a gem elixir but can also be toxic if you inhale the dust (which doesn’t exist on a polished form). Natural forms will leach any potentially toxic substances far more than a polished stone. All the crystals used in these blends are polished chips. I personally feel comfortable using them but I recommend you do your own research into this if you are unsure.
How long will these bottles last me?
They should last you between 1 and 6+ months, depending how often you use it.
